Olari Elts appointed as Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra from 20/21

Today, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ENSO) announces in a press conference that Olari Elts will become ENSO’s Music Director and Chief Conductor from the 2020/2021 season, for an initial period of three seasons. His first concert with ENSO took place in 1998 and he has been the Principal Guest Conductor of ENSO since 2007.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Olari Elts will conduct a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream this June.

Premiere on 1 June 2016 at the Estonia Concert Hall, this Shakespeare's most exuberant comedy together with the music written by Felix Mendelssohn will be presented in a new stage version created by NO99 Theatre and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra as well as the legendary girls' choir Ellerhein.
