Olari Elts appointed as Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra from 20/21

Today, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ENSO) announces in a press conference that Olari Elts will become ENSO’s Music Director and Chief Conductor from the 2020/2021 season, for an initial period of three seasons. His first concert with ENSO took place in 1998 and he has been the Principal Guest Conductor of ENSO since 2007.

Olari Elts wins Estonian Music Award 2019

Olari Elts received the Estonian Music Award 2019 for Best Classical Album for his recording of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s "Illuminatio. Whistles and Whispers from Uluru. Symphony No. 8", recorded with the Tapiola Sinfonietta and soloists Lawrence Power (viola) and Genevieve Lacey (recorder).
